Special Deliveries

Back on October 21, 1996, a customer and her husband arrived at the dealership looking for another vehicle. She was obviously very pregnant and expecting twins any day. The couple’s credit rating wasn't the greatest, so we had to send them home without the vehicle that evening, while we worked out the details with a finance company.

The next morning, we got the deal approved, but I was unable to reach the customer by phone at their home or where her spouse worked. I feared we had lost the deal, but on October 24, 1996, I received a call from the customer asking if they were approved.

I let her know that everything was all set for them to take delivery. It was then that she explained the reason I had not been able to reach them was because she was in the hospital. She asked if I could deliver the vehicle to her husband at the hospital.

I told her that I would get all the paperwork together and would be there by 5:30 that evening. When I arrived, I had to get special permission to go into the delivery room where my customer now was. Once I had permission, I put on booties, gloves, a gown, a mask and a hat and entered the delivery room so she could sign the paperwork. Between contractions, she signed each document, and as you can guess, by the last signature you could hardly tell what she had written.

Lo and behold, I delivered the vehicle to the customer just minutes prior to her having beautiful twin girls. We go to great lengths to satisfy every customer, so when we say we deliver, we really do deliver!
