FCA Elevates Ram Truck Head to CEO

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has named Ram truck and Jeep head Michael Manley as its chief executive officer, after medical complications forced Sergio Marchionne to step away from the company.

Mercedes-Benz, FCA to Offer Three-Tier Subscription Programs

Mercedes-Benz customers can choose between Signature, Reserve, and Premier, with the automaker’s three-tier subscription program costing subscribers between $1,095 and $2,995 per month. Jeep Wave will also offer subscribers three tiers from which to choose. Pricing has yet to be released.

Fiat Chrysler to Electrify 30 Models by 2022

The company's executive leadership, including outgoing chief executive Sergio Marchionne, outlined the new investments during a June 1 investors meeting. Marchionne presented a five-year plan for the company, even though he has said he will retire in 2019.

96.7% of Jeeps Are U.S.-Built, Experian Reports

An Experian analysis found that out of all auto brands that sell in the United States, Jeep had the highest percentage of vehicles built domestically. According to the analysis, 96.7% of Jeeps on U.S. roads were assembled in the country.

Wash. Dealer Ordered to Pay $74,000 for Deceptive Advertising

Rairdon’s Dodge Chrysler Jeep of Kirkland agreed to pay $35,125 in civil penalties and $39,210 in costs and fees. The dealership was charged with violating the state's Consumer Protection Act for sending out 7,025 promotional mailers that mimicked official NHTSA recall notices.

On the same day WIRED magazine posted a video showing two hackers take over a Jeep Cherokee traveling down a St. Louis highway, two U.S. Senators introduced legislation that would direct the NHTSA and FTC to establish standards to secure cars and protect drivers' privacy.
