GWC Warranty Partners with Universal Lenders to Introduce New Aftermarket Financing Plan

August 17, 2011

WILKES-BARRE – GWC Warranty, a leading vehicle service contract provider, has partnered with Universal Lenders LLC to provide Dealers across the country with “The ZERO Plan”, an interest-free financing option for GWC Vehicle Service Contracts.

“The ZERO Plan”, created by Universal Lenders, is a financing alternative for ancillary products, allowing Dealers to offer zero-percent alternative financing to their customers, while benefiting from increased sales of aftermarket products.
Universal Lenders LLC was created by a high-volume dealer with six franchises who had been in the business for 20 years, and recognized the need for financing alternatives for F&I products.  “The ZERO Plan” provides Dealers with an alternative to lenders not willing to approve ancillary products, as well as an opportunity to realize lost F&I profit. The customer benefits as well by gaining an interest-free financing option for a much needed vehicle service contract that will protect them from the high cost of repairs.

“We’re delighted to partner with Universal Lenders LLC to bring The ZERO Plan to our Dealer partners nationwide,” said GWC President and CEO Rob Glander.  “This interest-free financing option allows Dealers to accommodate many customers who would be otherwise unable to purchase a car protected by a GWC Vehicle Service Contract.  GWC is committed to provide Dealers with financing alternatives that help them succeed in the marketplace, and this partnership is consistent with that goal.”

I bought a car in December 2010. In August 2011, the car needed a motor mount repair, which was covered under the warranty. After taking the car to their preferred mechanic, I left with the impression that the car was fixed. Now it's 6 months later and the motor mount is giving me problems again. The original mechanic is out of business. So, the warranty company has sent me to another preferred shop. At this company, I am being told he old guys NEVER fixed the car in the first place. Now I have other issues wrong with the car due to the motor mount being loose. The transmission mount and the steering rod is off.

The new repair shop has fixed the repairs, but now GWC Warranty is asking me to pay the deductible AGAIN for work that was never done. I have called to get the superior management's contact information and they will not give it to me.

Any direction would help. Thank you!
